Six Sigma (6∂) - Overview

Six Sigma is a philosophy, driven from the top, down, that is aimed at variation reduction. A structured approach to up-skilling is applied on a just in time basis that provides the employees with all the tools necessary to resolve problems of variation, making the necessary improvements. The results are reduced cost and increased efficiencies.

Course Description

This instructor led course looks at what 6∂ is and is not and various approaches to applying it to small, medium and large businesses. This one day overview examines how this approach not only reduces variation and therefore cost but also provides a structure for the planning and successful introduction of new products and processes.

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites for this course although an appreciation of general quality methodologies would be an advantage.
