Problem Solving & Decision Making (PSDM)

Effective problem solving requires that a structured approach be taken in a customer-focused manner that protects the customer from the effects of the problem. Structured Problem Solving & Decision Making provides a structured approach to identifying the root cause of the problem and ensures that the particular type of problem is prevented from happening again some time in the future. PSDM in itself is a team-based approach to problem solving but each of the 9 disciplines are equally applicable to smaller problems that we face every day and can be utilised by individuals.

Course Description

This course follows the proven process whereby each discipline is discussed during instructor led sessions, each being followed by a facilitated exercises to allow the delegates to experience the application of what they have just learned. The aim of the course is to present the basic structure, purpose and methodology of Problem Solving & Decision Making. With the main emphasis on the 9 disciplines and effective Problem Solving & Decision Making reporting, it covers the processes of problem solving, decision making and concerns analysis.

Pre-Requisites

There are no pre-requisites  for this course but a basic understanding of quality methodologies would be an advantage.
