Process Optimisation is a systematic and effective way to build process knowledge for control. It is a thinking process that strategically  uses many engineering and quality tools to prepare robust control plans.

Process optimisation searches out the links that exist between the desired product characteristics and the process characteristics and uses them as the foundation for efficient control plans. With strong links to Design and Process FMEA, cost, productivity and quality are also considered as critical inputs.

Course Description

Through a mixture of instructor led sessions and team exercises, the delegates will develop process flow charts, characteristic matrices and control plans for a given process.

The Learning Gain

At the end of the course the delegates will be able to:-

bulletUnderstand the manufacturing and product focus of Process Optimisation
bulletAppreciate how teamwork is crucial to process Optimisation success.
bulletDemonstrate how Process Optimisation supports quality standards such as ISO-9000 and QS-9000
bulletExplain how Control Planning supports Advanced Product Quality Planning .
bulletIdentify the critical inputs into process Optimisation
bulletPrepare effective Control Plans to support new projects
bulletUnderstand the importance of FMEA  in this process

Pre-Requisites
