Process Optimisation is a systematic and effective way to build process knowledge for control. It is a thinking process that strategically uses many engineering and quality tools to prepare robust control plans. Process optimisation searches out the links that exist between the desired product characteristics and the process characteristics and uses them as the foundation for efficient control plans. With strong links to Design and Process FMEA, cost, productivity and quality are also considered as critical inputs. Course Description Through a mixture of instructor led sessions and team exercises, the delegates will develop process flow charts, characteristic matrices and control plans for a given process. The Learning Gain At the end of the course the delegates will be able to:-
Pre-Requisites An appreciation of quality management systems would be a distinct advantage in understanding Process optimisation but not a mandatory requirement for this course This course can also be run as an Application Workshop.
