


Sherbourne Associate Services Ltd employ a number of associates that have a variety of backgrounds and experiences. SAS do not employ trainers; we employ practitioners and develop them to train others in the use of the tools, methodologies and techniques.
Most of the competencies are available as training workshops, training courses, application assistance or coaching.
As well as a comprehensive range of technical and quality tools, SAS can also offer a range of behavioural training that can also be run as workshops and coaching sessions. The following describes the core skills and is therefore not exhaustive.

Coaching and Mentoring Skills - The ability to be able to develop other people has become an important skill within today's business environment. The ever-growing pressure of change means that we need people that can be developed in time to manage these changes. This one-day course will provide an insight into a structured approach to the coaching and mentoring process. It looks at the role of the coach and the ways to ensure that the coach remains focussed on the needs of the individual and provides a number of strategies for overcoming the most common blockages to personal development.
Customer Care - It is a known fact that it is harder to get a new customer than it is to keep an existing customer. However, all to often we manage to neglect our existing customer without even knowing it. This one-day course provides a number of thought provoking ideas of how we can keep the relationship fresh and exciting for the customer without massive on-cost.
Effective Communications - This one-day workshop provides a number of opportunities for the delegates to practice both listening and speaking skills as well as a non-confrontational process for giving feedback to others. The workshop also provides a basis for understanding how what we say is translated by others and thus provides an insight into understanding how our communication skills impacts on others.
Effective Teamwork -
Teamwork is a fact of modern life. Working as part of a team does not come
naturally to most people. This course looks at how teams are formed, the roles
needed and the processes that lead to a positive and productive team experience.
During this two-day course, delegates will learn how to identify patterns of
behaviour, improve their listening and communication skills, how to manage team
meetings and how effective facilitation can make the difference between a good
and an incredible experience.
Effective Telesales - Telesales is often the front line of the business and the very first contact that prospective customers experiences. It makes sense then that we ensure that we get the most from this investment. This one-day interactive workshop provides the delegates with a number of new and enhanced skills to ensure that the customer's experience is a positive one and that the business benefits from each and every call made.
Leadership Skills - Leadership is not just about the ability to delegate and manage others. Leadership is about modelling behaviours that others will will follow to the benefit of the business. This two-day workshop provides a platform for examining the issue of leadership and the tools and behaviours that make good leaders. The delegates will have the opportunity to practice communication, observation and visioning skills that will enable them to improve their own working environment whilst promoting a more professional image through their own behaviour.
Managing Change - "If we always do what we've always done, then we'll always get what we've always got"
Continuous Improvement involves varying levels of change and
that is why change has become a continuous feature of modern life. One of the
most difficult to manage, change has issues of communication, people's
perceptions and blocks to change that need to be understood and navigated.
Whilst there is little we can do to change the characters involved, we can adopt
a strategy that ensures that blockages to change are minimised.
This one-day course examines the human interaction with change, the differences
between individuals and how to minimise the impact of those differences in the
change effort. This course looks at the most common issues that need to be
overcome and suggests some strategies that can be employed to overcome the
blockages that often result.
Performance Management - Continuous Improvement in the workplace requires that we have people that are continually learning. This one-day workshop examines the blocks to change, strategies for overcoming these blocks and a 10 point plan for effective performance management. This workshop will provide the delegates with the opportunity to plan discussions with their staff in a structured and non-confrontational manner that will provide a positive platform for the development of their staff.
Problem Solving & Decision
Making - Problem Solving is something that we all get involved in from time
to time, some more often than others. Often we are solving problems that have
been solved before...or have they?
This course provides a structure for solving the most basic to the most complex
of problems and a series of tools that if used correctly will always find the
root cause.
Project Management - This workshop does not look at the use of software or other methodologies but at the skills and rational behind effective project management. The workshop is designed to give delegates a framework in which they can apply their existing skills to better effect in the management of projects. delegates are encouraged to challenge their current thinking and to look at new approaches such as visioning to ensure the final objectives are met.
Risk Management - All actions that we take in business have potential risk in terms of the reaction that may result. Being aware of the risk is the first step towards managing the risk. This one-day course considers a nine step approach to risk management that can be used in any circumstance and provides a rational for prioritising and managing the risks.
Setting Goals & Objectives
- Just as a business needs goals and objectives to provide direction and purpose
so do individuals within the organisation. Goals however need to be both
achievable and meaningful, adding value to the business and developing the
individual at the same time.
This one-day workshop will provide delegates with a structured approach to
selecting goals and objectives that are aligned to the needs of the business and
a simple process for ensuring that the individual assumes ownership of them.
Stress Management - This one-day workshop provides an insight into what are the causes of stress and examines strategies for managing stress. The workshop will also aid understanding of how our behaviour can effect other peoples stress levels. Delegates will examine proven behavioural models that will help them reduce stress in themselves and others.
Structured
Interviewing - A method for interviewing and selection of new staff or the
internal selection of staff that is formatted in such a way as to allow all
interviewees to perform as well as they can whilst focussing on the needs of the
job requirements.
This can be run as a one-day course, discussing questioning techniques, how to
make candidates feel at ease, how to construct a structured interview process
and the metrics used.
Time Management - Time
is a finite resource. We only have a limited amount of it and we need to ensure
that we maximise our effective time accordingly.
This one-day workshop provides the delegates with a series of initiatives to
take away and employ, immediately, ensuring that they make better use of their
available time. Unlike many courses, this workshop explores the reasons for time
lost and provides a rational for reducing unnecessary workload by focussing on
key tasks and business objectives.
